So many Aspirants, are seriously confused on how this current admission processes will be carried out after Covid-19 and ASUU prolonged strike really disrupted academic activities in most Nigerian public Varsities.

I want to bring it to your notice that this current admission processes in Federal Universities will be highly competitive due to the cancelation of an academic session by some Varsities.

Cancelling an academic session doesn't mean those who sat for jamb last year,won't be considered for Admission. It means there is possibilities of merging those who sat for jamb last year and those who will write this year into one session. It also means two session might be merged into one session.

Those who will sit for jamb this year might be merged with those who sat for jamb last year, in some public Varsities like ; UNILAG, OAU, ATBU etc. Those who will sit for jamb this year, won't be able to choose University of Ibadan, and it was easier for them to do that,because, they don't run a JUPEB or Predegree program; unlike UNILAG and OAU that have no choice but might merge two sessions together by admitting those who wrote jamb last year and those who will write jamb this year with the available limited admission spaces.It signifies their admission processes will be highly competitive. The reason OAU might have to do so is because they have admitted predegree student and also JUPEB students for the current session and they have to be considered for admission.

There is possibility that OAU might only permit those who did JUPEB and Predegree to be the only ones that will be able to choose them this year to prevent more competition.

If you are Aspiring to study in Nigerian public Varsities, you are advised to study like never before because this current admission processes will be highly competitive especially in schools like OAU and UNILAG and not getting admitted means; you will have to sit for jamb next year.
