In Kuru which is located in the Jos South local Government Area of Plateau state, a chorister identified to be a young woman has been arrested for allegedly killing a new born baby.
According to witnesses, it was claimed that the suspect, a church chorister, put the baby to death shortly after the birth. She was arrested while she was trying to bury the new born baby in a bush, on May 11.
Several Facebook users revealed that this is not her first time of doing such. One of them who shared her photos and that of the wrapped dead baby wrote that: "Can you just imagine, she give birth and kill the baby, happen today {11-05-2022} in trade centre, Kuru."
In a news related to this, a 22 year old lady identified as Funmilola Adisa also reportedly drowned her baby because she prevented her from studying law in the University.
As reported by Vanguardngr, she deliberately drowned the one-year and six months old baby inside a bucket of water which happened in her apartment at Plot 22, Gowon Estate, Lagos, on Monday. After she had done this evil act, she reported herself to the Police.
While she was being interrogated, she blamed herself for her action. She revealed that she committed the evil act out of frustration, saying that her baby deprived of her dream of becoming a barrister.
In her statement, it was revealed that she was impregnated by one Yusuf Folarin while they were both attending a JAMB tutorial at City of Success which is located at Abeokuta, Ogun state.
However, Folarin denied it and he told her to abort the pregnancy, which she refused. Along the line, she said she was offered admission into Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife to study Law, but she had to defer her admission because of her baby.
